Le LancetGate va de rebondissement en rebondissement. Le 2 juin, la revue médicale The Lancet a pris ses distances avec l’étude bidon qu’elle a publiée sur l’hydroxychloroquine utilisée comme traitement contre le Covid-19.
The Lancet a publié un avertissement soulignant le devoir d’ « alerter les lecteurs sur le fait que de sérieuses questions scientifiques ont été portées à [son] attention » au sujet de cette étude, qui fait actuellement l’objet d’un audit.
L’avertissement rédigé par The Lancet a pris la forme d’une « expression of concern » (« expression de préoccupation »), formule utilisée par les revues scientifiques pour signifier que le doute est jeté sur la valeur de travaux scientifiques.
Ce début d’aveu forcé confirme le discrédit grave qui s’abat désormais sur cette publication médicale de portée internationale.
Dans une lettre ouverte publiée le 28 mai, des scientifiques du monde entier soulignaient que l’examen minutieux de l’étude de The Lancet soulève « à la fois des inquiétudes liées à la méthodologie et à l’intégrité des données« , données fournies par Surgisphere, société fantôme dont la directrice des ventes est… une actrice porno.
Le Professeur Didier Raoult a qualifié cette étude bidon de « foireuse », déclarant qu’elle avait été réalisée par une bande de « pieds nickelés« .
