Jeudi soir, à l’invitation du Service diocésain des relations avec les musulmans en Gironde (SDRM33), l’église de La Trinité donnait la parole à… l’imam de la mosquée de Mérignac, Hassan Belmajoub.
Fort heureusement, une fois de plus, des jeunes catholiques ont sauvé l’honneur et réparé cette offense en venant réciter le chapelet à haute voix durant ce scandale, ayant pris soin d’occuper les trois premiers rangs de l’église et de se mettre à genoux pour prier dès que le cirque inter-religieux a commencé.
Précisons que l’imam Hassan Belmajdoub a été l’un des membres fondateurs de la branche locale des Frères Musulmans et est actuellement le président de l’association des musulmans de Mérignac. Il a notamment invité à prêcher dans sa mosquée un certain Rachid Abou Houdeyfa, imam de Brest, qui a eu son moment de buzz pour avoir déclaré que « ceux qui écoutent de la musique seront transformés par Allah en singe ou en porc » et que la femme qui ne porte pas le voile « ne doit pas s’étonner que les frères, que les musulmans ou non-musulmans abusent d’elle ».
Ces précisions n’empêchent pas le journal Sud Ouest d’écrire que les fondamentalistes sont ces jeunes catholiques qui ont eu l’outrecuidance de réciter le chapelet dans une église catholique.
Ajoutons que la venue de cet imam dans l’église de La Trinité était organisée dans le cadre de la « semaine nationale islamo-chrétienne » ainsi que de la « Quinzaine de l’égalité« .
