Lors d’une conférence de presse, François Hollande a dévoilé aux journalistes les sujets qui ont été abordés avec le Pape François. Les questions internationales ont tenu une grande partie de l’entretien comme la Centrafrique, le Moyen-Orient ou la Syrie. Hollande a dit son prétendu attachement à défendre les Chrétiens d’Orient et, selon lui, par là-même la liberté religieuse. La France a donc tenu très peu de place. Et là, Hollande dit d’un ton tranquille qu’il a assuré au Pape que: « la France est le pays de la liberté de conscience. » C’est un peu toute l’opération reconquête de l’électorat catholique qui échoue. En décembre 2012, François Hollande avait déclaré aux maires de France être favorable à la liberté de conscience sur le mariage homosexuel avant de se rétracter. Dernièrement, le Conseil Constitutionnel a définitivement dit non. De qui se moque-t-on ? Les maires doivent apprécier, notamment ceux qui ont dû faire face à la cabale médiatique. Quant au Vatican, il assure que les questions familiales et bioéthiques ont été abordées et bizarrement Hollande n’y a pas fait allusion ! Voilà de quoi plomber la visite de Hollande au Vatican !
