C’est dans une ambiance tendue, le 28 mai 2018, que l’écrivain français Hervé Ryssen était jugé en appel au Tribunal de grande instance de Paris pour des tweets et des publications Facebook controversés. Les chefs d’accusation retenus étaient « injures publiques » et « provocation à la discrimination, à la haine ou à la violence à l’égard d’une personne ou d’un groupe de personne à raison de leur origine, de leur appartenance ou de leur non-appartenance à une ethnie, une nation, une race ou une religion déterminée » (article 24, 8ème alinéa de la loi du 29 juillet 1881) et les parties civiles, toujours les mêmes : la LICRA, l’UEJF, SOS Racisme, J’accuse, Fils et filles de déportés juifs de France, etc. Le public était venu nombreux devant la salle d’audience pour soutenir l’écrivain… Vincent Lapierre et son équipe étaient également sur place.
