Belgique – Harlem Désir, secrétaire d’Etat aux Affaires européennes s’est rendu hier à Bruxelles pour remettre la Légion d’Honneur au socialiste belge Freddy Thielemans, ancien bourgmestre de la ville de Bruxelles.
Selon l’ambassade de France en Belgique, cette remise de décoration voulait « honorer et rendre hommage à l’engagement d’une personnalité belge en faveur de la relation de la Belgique avec la France, et au service de la liberté et de la construction européenne »
Freddy Thielemans a reçu mardi en fin de journée les insignes d’officier de la Légion d’honneur des mains d’Harlem Désir, à la résidence de France à Bruxelles.
Harlem Désir a souligné les liens entre Bruxelles et Paris et, sur un plan plus personnel, l’amitié qui unit l’ancien maire de Paris Bertrand Delanoë et M. Thielemans, de même que sa propre complicité avec lui, du temps où ils ont travaillé ensemble au parlement européen.
On se souviendra que Freddy Thielemans, franc-maçon notoire, s’était illustré en sortant le champagne pour « fêter » la mort du pape Jean-Paul II. Viscéralement anticatholique, Freddy Thielemans est connu pour ne jamais manquer une occasion de chanter « A bas la calotte« . C’est sans doute cet antichristianisme primaire et rabique qui le rapproche de ses collègues socialistes français.
