L’association Halte à l’Obsolescence Programmée (HOP) a du pain sur la planche. Après avoir déposé plainte contre Apple et certains fabricants d’imprimantes comme Epson, cette association continue à dresser la liste des sociétés qui nous prennent pour des pigeons.
Il faut dire que l’association Halte à l’Obsolescence Programmée a remporté ces jours-ci de beaux succès. Ses plaintes ont débouché sur l’ouverture d’une enquête visant Epson. Quant à Apple, sans reconnaître pratiquer l’obsolescence programmée, la société présente ses excuses et annonce baisser le prix de ses batteries. Ce n’est pas encore une bataille gagnée mais c’est une première étape importante.
L’association pointe aussi du doigt d’autres produits de consommation dans les secteurs les plus variés comme les collants pour femmes qui se filent dès le premier usage, les voitures dont un voyant rouge s’allume pour signaler qu’il faut remplacer les plaquettes de frein alors qu’elles ne sont pas usées, les tondeuses aux composants cachés en vue de programmer une panne, etc, etc.
