Charlie Hebdo était au bord de la faillite avant l’attentat. Un bilan largement dans le rouge avait suscité l’inquiétude. Mais l’hebdo du blasphème a trouvé une nouvelle vigueur financière en même temps qu’il perdait l’essentiel de ses rédacteurs.
Le Fonds Google-AIPG pour l’innovation numérique de la presse va offrir 250.000 dollars pour aider Charlie Hebdo. Le fonds Presse et pluralisme, association qui peut recevoir des dons de mécénat, déductibles d’impôts, annonce également une contribution financière.
D’autre part, Richard Malka, avocat de Charlie Hebdo, a annoncé que le journal sera tiré à un million d’exemplaires mercredi, contre soixante mille habituellement. L’hebdomadaire comptera huit pages au lieu de seize.
Pour l’occasion, le journal a reçu des aides des groupes Canal+ et Le Monde.
Les groupes Radio France, France Télévisions et Le Monde ont annoncé mardi :
« Face à l’horreur, les groupes Radio France, Le Monde et France Télévisions annoncent mettre à disposition de “Charlie Hebdo” et de ses équipes l’ensemble de leurs moyens humains et matériels nécessaires pour que “Charlie Hebdo” continue à vivre. »
