Discrimination à l’embauche chez Google ? C’est l’accusation que porte James Damore, un ancien ingénieur de Google licencié après avoir écrit un plaidoyer contre la « discrimination positive » en faveur des femmes et des minorités ethniques et sexuelles. Google estimait que cet ingénieur avait violé le code de conduite de l’entreprise.
Mais James Damore se défend et attaque en justice Google son ancien employeur pour discriminations liées au genre.
La plainte stipule :
«La direction de Google emploie des méthodes extrêmes et illégales pour encourager ses équipes de recrutement à prendre en considération la race et le genre dans leurs critères d’embauche au détriment des employés mâles et caucasiens.»
Les employés blancs, de sexe masculin, hétérosexuels et conservateurs seraient «ostracisés, rabaissés et punis» par Google, accuse James Damore.
