Une attaque tragique s’est soldée en définitive par un gag ubuesque qui a été filmé, voir vidéo ci-dessous. Lors de la célébration de Pâques cette année, armé d’un gourdin, un homme s’est précipité du fond de la cathédrale contre l’évêque anglican Kityo Luwalira qui se trouvait à l’autel, mais il s’est pris les pieds dans la balustrade de communion et s’est échoué lamentablement au pied de l’autel devant l’évêque médusé. L’agresseur de 35 ans porte un prénom chrétien: Herbert Kaddu. L’évêque anglican, quant à lui, estime que son agresseur était possédé par Satan, précisant cependant qu’il allait demander une enquête pour connaître les réels motifs de son agresseur.
Le Superintendent de Police, Patrick Onyango, explique que Kaddu a prétendu qu’il avait répondu à une attaque des esprits. Un prétexte facile dans ces pays africains gangrénés par la sorcellerie vaudou.
