Le nouvel archevêque de Chicago est Blase Cupich, ancien évêque de Spokane. La nouvelle n’est pas sans importance, le siège de Chicago étant cardinalice, et Blase Cupich pouvant être qualifié de partisan de la culture de mort.
En effet ce dernier s’est distingué par son opposition aux grandes campagnes de prières devant les avortoirs comme celles organisées par 40 days for life. Mais, grand hypocrite, ce prélat se réfugie derrière la nécessité « d’amener les gens à un autre regard sur l’avortement », évoquant la prière publique comme étant « une tactique de confrontation ».
Ce type de comportement n’est pas sans rappeler la manœuvre de certains évêques suisses, qui avait, début 2014, fait échouer une votation visant à dérembourser l’avortement en s’abritant derrière de grands principes ! C’est aussi à grands coups de mensonges et de tromperies que l’épiscopat helvétique fait une douce promotion de l’euthanasie.
Cette dernière nomination confirme, s’il en était encore besoin, la politique ultra progressiste appliquée par le pape François. Il faut aussi rappeler que c’est Jean-Paul II qui avait promu cet homme évêque en 1998…
