Mardi l’agence Europol a annoncé dans un communiqué que 29 individus avaient été interpellés en Espagne et en France lors d’une opération menée par des policiers des deux pays à l’encontre d’un réseau de passeurs qui faisaient venir d’Espagne des immigrés clandestins souvent mineurs et les envoyaient vers l’Europe du Nord.
Un vaste trafic international démantelé
Les agents de la Policia Nacional et de la Police Nationale, appuyés par Europol, ont démantelé un réseau criminel qui s’adonnait à un trafic d’êtres humains et de drogue entre l’Espagne et la France.
Les passeurs visaient en particulier de jeunes migrants qu’ils incitaient à s’échapper des centres d’accueil pour mineurs isolés en Espagne afin de rejoindre la France. Pour cela, les trafiquants avaient recours à des recruteurs de la même nationalité que les immigrés (Algériens, Maliens, Marocains ou encore Syriens).
Les migrants étaient transportés depuis le port d’Almeria jusqu’en France grâce à des bus appartenant à des entreprises françaises, espagnoles et marocaines.
29 interpellés, 33 000 € et 200 kg de cannabis saisis
L’enquête a débuté lorsqu’un ressortissant espagnol a été arrêté en France au volant d’un bus avec 22 migrants à son bord dont six mineurs. Une opération qui s’est conclue par l’arrestation de 26 personnes en Espagne, trois en France et à la saisie de 33 000 € en liquide et 200 kg de cannabis. Le chef des trafiquants fait partie des individus interpellés, il s’agit d’un marocain gérant d’une société de bus.
