Etats-Unis – Le Swarthmore College de Pennsylvanie, est parfois considéré comme l’une des facultés les plus élitistes des États-Unis. Cette université fondée par les quakers (une secte protestante) proposera cette année un cours intitulé «Queering the Bible». Le terme «queer» pourrait être traduit par «étrange», un concept qui est utilisé par une branche du lobby LGBTQI.
Le Swarthmore College a imaginé une façon théologique de promouvoir des visions queer et transgenres dans l’interprétation des textes bibliques, en utilisant une « approche théorique inclusive« , rapporte le Christian Post. La personne responsable des cours de théologie «gay» sera Gwynn Kessler, docteur en études bibliques de la faculté théologique… juive de New York.
La présentation de ce cours abominable indique que l’objectif est «de déstabiliser les idées que la Bible et la religion enseignent à propos des concepts de genre et de sexualité».
En outre, le professeur Kessler dit proposer «des approches théologiques postmodernes, féministes et queer».
