Le président américain nouvellement élu Donald Trump noue actuellement des contacts avec la présidente du Front national Marine Le Pen et le patron de l’UKIP[1] Nigel Farage.
Une rencontre entre Trump et Farage vient de se tenir à New York et a été, comme l’a souligné l’ancien chef de la campagne électorale des Républicains, Kellyanne Conway, «très productive. On a entre autres parlé (du concept) de liberté et ce qu’elle signifie pour le reste du monde.» Farage avait déjà participé à une réunion électorale de Trump au cours de la campagne présidentielle.
Quant à la France, Trump souhaite renforcer ses relations avec Marine Le Pen, qui, la semaine dernière, a qualifié le résultat de l’élection américaine de «victoire de la liberté». Sa nièce, Marion Maréchal-Le Pen, a annoncé aujourd’hui même sur Twitter que le Front national avait accepté une invitation à coopérer faite par le directeur de campagne de Trump, Stephen Bannon[2]. Bannon est le directeur du portail d’informations alternatives breitbart.com[3] et pourrait bien occuper le poste névralgique de directeur de cabinet de la Maison-Blanche.
