La chapelle de l’hôpital universitaire Rafael Méndez de Lorca (Murcie, Espagne), a été profanée, selon des sources municipales confirmées. Apparemment, un ou plusieurs individus ont forcé la porte de la chapelle, puis à l’intérieur, ont fracturé le tabernacle, pris les hosties consacrées qu’ils ont été jetés à terre et piétinés.
Les profanateurs ont également volé le calice, de peu de valeur marchande, mais d’une grande valeur spirituelle pour les paroissiens de la chapelle.
L’aumônier de l’hôpital, Regulus Ginés Cayuela, a confirmé qu’une cérémonie de réparation sera faite à la chapelle, avec la tenue d’une messe célébrée par l’évêque du diocèse de Carthagène, Mgr Lorca Planes.
Cette profanation a profondément choqué le personnel et les patients de l’hôpital Rafael Mendez.
