Espagne – Depuis quelques jours, à Grenade, les Jardins du triomphe sont l’enjeu d’une guerre de reconquista spirituelle.
Tout commence le 10 juin. Sur ce lieu où trône une statue de la Sainte Vierge, la mairie socialiste a autorisé une association musulmane à organiser une prière publique, puis à rompre le jeûne du ramadan.
La scène a choqué beaucoup d’Espagnols. Un appel à un rosaire de réparation a rapidement circulé sur les réseaux sociaux.
Le 13 juin au soir, de nombreux catholiques espagnols sont venus prier autour de la statue de la Sainte Vierge Marie et reconquérir ce lieu symbolique.
Est-il besoin de rappeler que la ville de Grenade, située dans le sud de l’Espagne, a subi l’occupation islamique durant près de huit siècles, jusqu’à la reconquista achevée en 1492 par les souverains catholiques Fernando et Isabelle.
