L’avocat d’Asia Bibi, Saif ul-Malook, dans un entretien avec le Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, a confirmé la fuite de la femme chrétienne du Pakistan : « elle a retrouvé sa famille » au Canada.
Pour des raisons de sécurité, l’avocat n’a pas révélé la date exacte du départ d’Asia Bibi de son pays natal ni comment elle a pu le fuir.
La cour Suprême du Pakistan a confirmé la semaine passée l’absolution d’Asia Bibi. Selon le juge Asif Saeed Khosa, président des trois juges de la Cour, le signataire du recours contre la sentence d’absolution « n’a pas été en mesure de montrer une quelconque erreur dans le verdict de la Cour Suprême qui a absout Asia Bibi ».
