Belgique – Selon un rapport sur la politique d’intégration de l’administration flamande, 17,5% de la population flamande est d’origine étrangère. Mais si l’on s’intéresse aux naissances, les chiffres sont plus significatifs encore. Un enfant de moins de 5 ans sur trois est d’origine étrangère en Flandre.
Le rapport prend en compte les personnes de nationalité étrangère ou dont la première nationalité n’est pas belge, ou encore des enfants dont un parent est dans cette situation.
Dans certaines villes, la proportion de personnes d’origine étrangère avoisine déjà les 50%. A Genk, elle est de 54%; à Maasmechelen, de 44%; à Vilvorde, de 43% et à Anvers, de 42%.
La part de personnes d’origine étrangère va croissant chez les jeunes. Elle s’élève à 32% chez les moins de 5 ans. Mais dans certaines villes, cela grimpe même à deux enfants sur trois ! A Bar-le-Duc, elle atteint 81% et 73% à Maasmechelen, 72% à Genk, 68% à Vilvorde, 67% à Machelen.
