Il parait que l’Allemagne est le pays de l’écologie. L’Allemagne est tellement écolo qu’elle a renoncé au nucléaire pour intensifier le charbon. Mais comme les mêmes écolos ouvrent en grand les frontières (on voit la logique…), il faut donc produire plus d’électricité et d’énergie, ce qui n’est pas très écolo (sauf si, bien sûr, l’idée est que les nouveaux venus remplacent les autochtones, ce qui n’est pas plus écolo…)
L’église Saint-Lambert d’Immerath, datant du 19e siècle et ayant survécue au Götterdammerung de 1944-45, a donc été rasée au le 8 janvier pour faire place à l’extension de la mine et ce, malgré l’opposition de ses habitants, dans la plus pure tradition soviétique. Ce petit village d’à peine 700 habitants situé dans le Palatinat, à 100 km de la frontière luxembourgeoise et à mi-chemin de l’axe Trèves-Coblence, fait partie des douze communes en cours de déplacement et de démolition dans le bassin minier rhénan pour étendre les trois mines à ciel ouvert de Hambach, Inden et Garzweiler, celles-ci s’étendent déjà sur 9.000 hectares (soit deux fois la surface de la ville de Lyon et la superficie de l’ile d’Anguilla) dans une région volcanique et extrayant environ 100 millions de tonnes par an, soit 57 % de la production allemande.
L’atout énergétique de l’Allemagne étant le charbon, de nouvelles mines doivent être creusées, des villages entiers sont rasés et la population doit laisser sa place à l’exploitation minière. Autour du village d’Immerath, 7.600 habitants ont été déplacés, suite à l’autorisation donnée à RWE (Rheinisch-Westfälisches Elektrizitätswerk Aktiengesellschaft) d’étendre ces mines de lignite pour continuer à en extraire du combustible jusqu’en… 2045.. Et des dizaines de millions de tonnes de CO2 seront émises dans l’atmosphère – sans oublier les particules fines – pendant de longues années, probablement jusqu’en 2045.
