Il y a quelques jours, le Fonds social juif unifié (FSJU) s’était inquiété de propos tenus par Emmanuel Macron et jugés « profondément offensants, inexacts et caricaturaux ».
L’équipe de campagne d’Emmanuel Macron a aussitôt réagi par voie de communiqué.
« Certains membres de la communauté juive se sont émus des propos attribués à Emmanuel Macron. Dans ces propos, il déplorerait que l’enseignement de la Torah puisse être placé dans certains établissements scolaires au-dessus des enseignements fondamentaux. »
« Les choses se sont passées de la manière suivante : Emmanuel Macron a réagi au cours de l’entretien aux propos de Jean-François Kahn évoquant le cas des écoles Loubavitch. Alors que son propos s’inscrivait dans une perspective plus globale sur la place des textes sacrés dans une minorité d’écoles se soustrayant aux valeurs de la République, il n’a pas été repris dûment par le magazine Marianne. »
« Il n’y avait évidemment dans ces propos aucune stigmatisation de la communauté juive ou en son sein de la communauté Loubavitch. »
« Emmanuel Macron sait que l’enseignement privé juif s’inscrit dans le cadre d’un engagement citoyen et dispense un enseignement de qualité, ce qui est reconnu par les taux de réussite exceptionnels aux examens nationaux. Il connaît également le travail de l’Alliance israélite universelle, par exemple, dans la diffusion des valeurs de la République, conjuguées à celles du judaïsme, dans la même vocation. Il l’a constaté lui-même lors de sa visite d’une école de l’Alliance en Israël. »
« Ce n’était pas d’eux dont il était question, mais de tous les établissements, même très minoritaires, dont le projet scolaire ne s’inscrit pas dans les valeurs de la République française, qu’ils soient juifs, musulmans ou catholiques. »
Gil Taïeb, vice-président du CRIF, a apprécié le communiqué et fait savoir sur les réseaux sociaux que M. Macron conservait sa confiance. Ouf, tout va bien…
