Mardi après-midi, dans le quartier Matonge (quartier africain), un individu de 19 ans a été placé sous mandat d’arrêt pour avoir provoqué une émeute contre la police.
Quatre policiers ont été blessés au cours de cette émeute qui a démarré à la suite d’une action préventive et dissuasive en matière de stupéfiants. Au début, des inspecteurs ont été insultés par différents individus. L’un d’eux a ensuite refusé de présenter sa carte d’identité puis a poussé à plusieurs reprises un policier et a appelé la population du quartier à se rebeller. En quelques instants, des projectiles ont afflué de toutes parts en direction des policiers et de leur véhicule de service. Les policiers ont essuyé des coups de pied et de poing.
L’individu qui a incité à l’émeute est déjà connu des services de police pour divers faits, parmi lesquels stupéfiants ainsi que coups et blessures volontaires.
