Le rapport ci-dessus explique comment le simple contrôle d’identité d’une femme porteuse d’un niqab s’est transformé en émeute dans le quartier Bellefontaine à Toulouse. Refusant de se soumettre au contrôle d’identité, la porteuse de niqab a hurlé pour demander de s’en prendre aux policiers, ce qu’ont fait des racailles accourues aussitôt.
Onze véhicules ont été incendiés dans les quartiers Reynerie et Bellefontaine ainsi que plusieurs containers à ordures.
La police a envoyé d’importants renforts sur place et a totalement bouclé le quartier. Près de 300 grenades lacrymogènes ont été tirées pendant cette soirée. « Les affrontements ont été extrêmement violents. Les collègues ont été très choqués. Les événements ont été très compliqués à gérer mais ils ont fait preuve de beaucoup de sang-froid »,indique Didier Martinez du syndicat de gardiens de la paix SGP-FO.
Près de 200 policiers, gendarmes et CRS se sont opposés aux émeutiers et ont protégé différents biens publics et privés dont le commissariat du Mirail qui a été pris pour cible.
