Le candidat du parti FPÖ, Norbert Hofer, remporterait 36,7% des voix, réalisant le meilleur résultat de ce parti depuis la guerre à une élection nationale en Autriche. Un écologiste, Alexander van der Bellen, et une candidate indépendante, Irmgad Griss, sont au coude-à-coude pour la deuxième place, à respectivement 19,7% et 18,8% des suffrages, selon ces projections. Les candidats des partis au pouvoir sont éliminés de la course pour le second tour, il s’agit du social-démocrate Rudolf Hundstorfer (SPÖ) et du conservateur Andreas Khol (ÖVP) éliminés avec 11,2% des voix seulement chacun.
Ce résultat inédit est un revers de taille pour ces deux partis qui gouvernent ensemble depuis 2008, et plus particulièrement pour le chancelier Werner Faymann (SPÖ) et le vice-chancelier Reinhold Mitterlehner (ÖVP), dont les mandats courent jusqu’en 2018. (Source)
A lui tout seul Norbert Hofer ferait jeu égal avec l’addition des deux autres candidats qui rivalisent pour la deuxième place, puisque les deux ex-grands partis au pouvoir depuis 1945 sont éliminés pour le second tour. Reste à savoir si une partie suffisante des électeurs des candidats éliminés reporteront leurs voix sur Norbert Ofer qui a fait sa campagne contre l’invasion migratoire en provenance des pays musulmans.
Les scores restent néanmoins à être affinés puisqu’ils proviennent de projections fondées sur des résultats partiels et des sondages de sortie des urnes.
Cela est en tout état de cause une belle démonstration de la volonté des Européens de ne pas disparaître sous le flot intensif des clandestins. Une volonté que les dirigeants d’Europe de l’Ouest s’ingénient à ignorer et même à fustiger.
