« Tuez Le Pen. Tuez Macron. Frappez les bureaux de vote. » sont les dernières menaces terroristes lancées par Daesh dans un énième message vidéo dans lequel était représenté la Tour Eiffel qui tombait.

La sécurité a donc été renforcée au maximum aux alentours des bureaux de vote : plus de 50 milles agents de police et gendarmes ont été mobilisés pour permettre le bon déroulement du vote. Comme lors du premier tour de ce scrutin, 7 000 militaires de « l’opération sentinelle » et policiers municipaux ont été appelés en renfort pour garantir la sécurité.

Les deux candidats à l’Élysée ont voté ce matin. Marine Le Pen dans le bureau de Hénin-Beaumont dans le Pas-de-Calais et Emmanuel Macron lui-aussi dans le Pas-de-Calais mais dans la ville du Touquet.
