Le styliste Thomas Carlyle Ford est l’un des concepteurs de l’introduction du “porno chic” dans les campagnes publicitaires, entraînant notamment Gucci dans cette voie sordide à partir des années 1990, lorsqu’il en fut le directeur artistique. Il fut également directeur du Pôle Création et Communication de Yves Saint Laurent Couture, menant ici encore des campagnes basée sur la provocation de ce concept “porno chic”. En 2004, Tom Ford quitte Gucci et YSL et rejoint la maison Estée Lauder. Peu de temps après, il lance sa propre ligne de vêtements.
Homosexuel notoire, Tom Ford est “marié” à Richard Burckley, ancien rédacteur en chef de Vogues Homme International. En 2012, les deux hommes ont acquis un enfant auprès d’une mère porteuse.
Cinéaste à ses heures perdues, Tom Ford a notamment participé à la réalisation d’une campagne du Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network, lobby homosexuel qui intervient dans les écoles américaines et dont les partenaires sont Colgate Palmolive Company, la banque JP Morgan Chase, UBS, Mattel, IBM, HP, les hôtels Hilton, Google, Goldman Sachs, Facebook, etc.
Pour ses prochains défilés de mode, Tom Ford a notamment choisi Valentijn de Hingh, mannequin… transgenre. L’insistance avec laquelle couturiers et magazines de mode font la promotion des transgenres souligne l’excellente coordination des acteurs du nouvel ordre sexuel mondial.
Même le Figaro Madame s’y met. Le 4 juin 2014, sur la page web du magazine, dans une brève consacrée aux parfums, on peut lire ceci :
“ (…) dans la catégorie “Collection de grande marque”, c’est bien Tobacco Oud de Tom Ford qui est arrivé premier sur le podium. Et il réconcilie tout le monde car il est… transgenre”
