La nouvelle du chavirage d’un navire transportant des clandestins au large de la Libye, entraînant la mort de plusieurs centaines de personnes, est un drame terrible et particulièrement bouleversant.
Cette tragédie doit à présent pousser les autorités françaises à prendre enfin leurs responsabilités.
Les chiffres de l’immigration clandestine au départ de Libye et à destination de l’Europe sont effrayants. Chaque jour, entre 500 et 1.000 personnes sont récupérées en mer Méditerranée, essentiellement par les autorités italiennes. Chaque jour, le bilan macabre de cette immigration illégale s’alourdit de dizaines voire de centaines de morts supplémentaires.
Ce sont là les conséquences directes de la faute stratégique impardonnable qu’a été l’intervention militaire en Libye en 2011, conduite par Nicolas Sarkozy et soutenue par François Hollande.
Pour éviter que la Méditerranée ne demeure ce grand cimetière, il est impératif de mettre en œuvre une politique dissuasive de lutte contre l’immigration. Cette politique dissuasive doit se jouer en deux endroits : en France tout d’abord, en coupant les pompes aspirantes de l’immigration que sont l’ensemble des aides matérielles et financières allouées aux clandestins ; en Méditerranée d’autre part, en aidant les autorités italiennes à reconduire systématiquement à leurs points d’origine les navires interceptés, et ainsi assécher les trafics organisés par des passeurs criminels.
Une telle politique suppose bien entendu une augmentation des moyens maritimes de surveillance et d’intervention, ainsi que la maîtrise de nos frontières pour empêcher qu’une fois en Italie les clandestins n’arrivent en France.
L’immigration massive bouscule nos pays, elle bouleverse nos comptes sociaux et transforme maintenant la Méditerranée en un vaste champ de morts. Cela fait des années que la Front national alerte sur ce nouveau péril en provenance de Libye, il est temps à présent de mettre en œuvre ses solutions.
