Dimanche 18 juin, la Fête Dieu a célébré la présence réelle de Jésus-Christ dans l’Eucharistie.
C’est sous un soleil magnifique que les fidèles sont venus en nombre à la procession dont la paroisse St Nicolas du Chardonnet perpétue la tradition dans les rues de Paris.
Les enfants qui avaient fait leur première communion le matin même ont été sollicités afin de lancer des pétales de roses sur le chemin de la procession, tel que la tradition le requiert.
Le parcours a été réduit cette année pour raison de sécurité au vu du contexte dans lequel est plongé notre pays. Le cortège des fidèles à emprunté le pont Sully, bifurqué sur l’île St Louis puis s’est retrouvé sur le pont des Tournelles où le reposoir a été installé entre la statue de Ste Geneviève patronne et protectrice de Paris et la cathédrale Notre Dame.
