Sur ces images impressionnantes, les habitants de Dacca pataugeant dans des rues maculées d’un mélange de sang des animaux égorgés pour l’Aïd el-Kebir et les eaux de pluie au lendemain de la célébration de l’une des principales fêtes musulmanes.
Les fortes averses et la mauvaise évacuation des eaux ont créé des rivières sanguinolentes à travers certaines rues de la capitale du Bangladesh. Les autorités avaient réservé près de 1 000 emplacements où les fidèles pouvaient procéder à l’abattage rituel, mais beaucoup d’entre eux ont tué les animaux dans les rues.
