Médias-Presse-Info avait interviewé il y a quelques semaines Charles de Meyer, président de Noël en Syrie. Nous vous avions fait découvrir cette belle initiative qu’est Noël en Syrie tout en promettant de vous tenir informés du projet. Ils sont quinze à être partis passer Noël en Syrie avec les Chrétiens de ce pays ravagé par la guerre.
Ils ont participé à la mise en place d’un arbre de Noël en présence d’un évêque grec melkite orthodoxe et d’un chœur d’enfants qui a interprété divers chants de Noël en arabe, en araméen, en français et en latin.
Ils sont allés rendre visite au patriarcat grec melkite orthodoxe d’Antioche à Damas où ils ont été reçus par Monseigneur Nicolas en présence de familles de réfugiés à qui ils ont remis de nombreux cadeaux.
Ils se sont rendus au patriarcat grec melkite catholique. Ils ont été reçus par Monseigneur Elias.
Les volontaires de Noël en Syrie ont aussi distribués des cadeaux à des orphelins et des enfants dans les hôpitaux:
