32 villes colombiennes ont participé le 23 mai à la neuvième édition de la Marche pour la vie. Vêtus d’un polo rouge avec l’emblème de la plate-forme pro-vie colombienne « Unis pour la vie », l’événement a dépassé les attentes des organisateurs.
La Marche 2015 marque la neuvième année de la dépénalisation de l’avortement par la Cour constitutionnelle de Colombie. Dans un communiqué publié le 20 mai, les évêques de Colombie avaient encouragé « les différentes manifestations des citoyens de bonne volonté qui, d’une manière ou d’une autre, s’organisent pour défendre la vie et la proclamer comme un don de Dieu et comme un droit fondamental de chaque être humain », et leur avaient donné leur bénédiction. Le message, signé par le Président de la Conférence épiscopale de Colombie, Mgr Luis Augusto Castro Quiroga, regrettait que la Cour constitutionnelle, dans ses résolutions en faveur de l’avortement et de l’euthanasie, « essaye d’imposer aux citoyens et aux diverses institutions, y compris religieuses, des actes contraires à leurs valeurs éthiques ou morales ».
La marche, dans une ambiance festive et familiale, avec des musiciens animant l’évenement a aussi présenté des mères enceintes exprimant la défense de la vie dès la conception. Un grand nombre de jeunes et des familles avec de tous petits enfants étaient présents.
