Libye – Dimanche, les islamistes de « Fajr Libya » (Aube de la Libye) ont investi une annexe de l’ambassade des États-Unis au sud de Tripoli, évacuée par les Américains le 26 juillet.

Deborah Jones, ambassadrice américaine, désormais basée à Malte, a affirmé que les islamistes libyens ne sont toutefois pas entrés dans l’ambassade elle-même. Sur une vidéo mise en ligne sur le site de partage YouTube, on peut voir des dizaines d’hommes, certains en armes et originaires pour la plupart de Misrata, une ville du nord-ouest du pays, pénétrer dans ce bâtiment vide puis se baigner dans la piscine.

L’ensemble des documents sensibles qui se trouvaient dans les sites diplomatiques américains à Tripoli ont été détruits avant l’évacuation ou transportés hors de Libye.
