538 « grands électeurs » doivent le 19 décembre prochain voter officiellement pour que Trump soit le prochain président des États-Unis et les coups bas contre Trump au sein de son parti se multiplient. Un grand électeur républicain, Christopher Suprun, a annoncé qu’il ne votera pas Donald Trump à la présidence des États-Unis. Il estime que l’entrepreneur new-yorkais n’est pas à la hauteur pour résider à la Maison Blanche et décider de l’avenir du pays. Suprun ne votera donc pas en suivant la fidélité au parti mais selon sa conscience a-t-il expliqué. Il choisira donc un candidat républicain alternatif .
Suprun, s’il est le premier à avouer qu’il veut empêcher Trump d’accéder au poste suprême, n’est pas le seul. D’autres « grands électeurs » ont fait savoir qu’ils ne voteraient pas pour la vainqueur de Républicains. Art Sisneros explique qu’« en tant que chrétien, il ne peut « voter quelqu’un comme Trump ». Il a donc renoncé a son mandat électoral.
Par ailleurs un petit groupe de grands électeurs démocrates afin de bloquer Trump ont annoncé qu’ils voteront un candidat républicain alternatif contre l’indication de leur parti: « Je l’ai promis à qui m’a élu : je ferai tout pour essayer d’éviter que Trump arrive à la présidence » explique Levi Guerra, qui s’est affiliée au groupe « Hamilton electors ». Ce sont des démocrates qui voteront, indiquent-ils sur leur site web pour « un républicain responsable alternatif en mesure d’unifier notre pays. »
Des solutions alternatives aux politiciens du système, tout ce beau monde ne peut même pas l’envisager !
