Espagne – La Cour suprême confirme la peine d’un an d’emprisonnement pour cinq militants féministes pro-avortement qui avaient profané une messe dans les îles Baléares
Les faits datent de février 2014. Un groupe d’hommes et de femmes en faveur de l’avortement avaient interrompu une messe dans l’église de Sant Miquel de Palma de Majorque.
Les profanateurs étaient une trentaine de personnes. Cinq ont été identifiés comme les meneurs. La profanation a démarré durant une messe dominicale. Le groupe s’est dirigé vers l’autel en scandant «avortement libre et gratuit» et des propos blasphématoires. Ils avaient déployé une banderole blasphématrice.
Les paroissiens formèrent un cordon humain protégeant l’autel et, de la sorte, réussirent petit à petit à repousser les profanateurs hors de l’église. Une fois ces manifestants expulsés de l’église, le prêtre avait repris la messe.
La Cour suprême a rappelé qu’il ne fait aucun doute que les accusés avait bien l’intention d’interrompre un acte religieux.
Les accusés sont donc condamnés à un an de prison en tant qu’auteurs d’une infraction contre la liberté religieuse.
