L’Eglise orthodoxe du Tatarstan (une république à majorité musulmane de la Fédération de Russie) fait face en ce moment à une vague de déprédations antichrétiennes. Durant ce mois de novembre, quatre églises ont été incendiées intentionnellement sur le territoire de la région et, le 17 novembre, deux engins explosifs ont été désamorcés.
Les autorités régionales promettent une récompense d’un million de roubles (soit environ 22 000 euros) pour toute information utile au sujet de ces incendies criminels. « On a pris la décision d’octroyer une récompense d’un million de roubles pour toute information qui contribuera à élucider les délits liés aux incendies d’églises et concernant les personnes impliquées dans ces incendies. » annonce le site web du gouvernement de la république du Tatarstan.
