Des centaines de cadavres ont été découverts à Damasak, au nord est du Nigeria, œuvres supposées de la secte terroriste Boko Haram. Découvertes jeudi dernier, ces victimes auraient été enterrées ce week-end à en croire un habitant de la ville joint par l’AFP : « Les victimes, découvertes jeudi dernier, ont été enterrées dans une vingtaine de fosses communes pendant le week-end ». A propos du nombre des corps, certains habitants de la ville parlent de près de 400 corps, mais le gouvernement de l’Etat de Borno parle de « centaines de corps ». Ces corps seraient des victimes d’une récente attaque de Boko Haram dans la localité et ils ont été retrouvés dans les rues, dans la rivière et même dans les maisons.
Muhammadu Buhari a réagit en qualifiant Boko Haram de « faux groupe religieux » et a promis de s’occuper de cette secte dès sa prise de fonction en mai prochain.
