La question raciale est à nouveau mise à l’avant-plan aux Etats-Unis après la fusillade qui a visé des policiers blancs à Dallas au cours d’une manifestation antiraciste. Cinq policiers ont été tués (voir les vidéos ci-dessous) et sept autres ont été blessés.
Selon le chef de la police de la ville, un tireur a été abattu. Il s’appellerait Micah Johnson, avait 25 ans, et a dit qu’il « était bouleversé par les tirs de la police sur le peuple noir, qu’il en voulait aux Blancs, qu’il voulait tuer des Blancs, en particulier des policiers blancs« .
Trois personnes sont toujours en garde à vue.
Les tirs ont provoqué un chaos total. La manifestation arrivait à son terme lorsque des tireurs ont ouvert le feu visant très clairement les policiers blancs. Un civil aurait également été blessé selon la police.
L’un des suspects a été abattu par les unités d’élite après s’être retranché dans un bâtiment. Il avait auparavant affirmé que des bombes avaient été posées « partout » dans le centre-ville. Mais la police n’a pas trouvé d’explosif au centre de Dallas.
