Après les attentats de Paris du 13 novembre 2015, une piste islamiste en Belgique est rapidement apparue, menant à des perquisitions nombreuses à Molenbeek et dans d’autres communes bruxelloises depuis dimanche. Celles-ci n’ont pour l’instant pas permis de mettre la main sur Abdeslam Salah, terroriste identifié ayant participé aux attentats de Paris et domicilié à Molenbeek.
L’OCAM, organisme belge chargé d’évaluer la menace terroriste, a fait passer de 2 à 3 le niveau d’alerte terroriste sur l’ensemble du territoire belge. Un élément symptomatique de cette crainte d’attentat à Bruxelles est la demande formulée par le gouvernement belge à la Fédération belge de Football d’annuler le match Belgique-Espagne prévu ce mardi soir au stade Roi Baudouin, demande immédiatement acceptée par la Fédération belge de Football. Ce matin même, l’équipe espagnole a rapidement quitté son hôtel pour regagner l’Espagne.
