La ville de Clichy avait pris une initiative sympathique dans le cadre des commémorations du centenaire de la Première Guerre mondiale. Trente silhouettes de poilus avaient été installées dans les rues de la commune afin de rendre hommage aux 2.391 soldats clichois morts ou disparus entre 1914 et 1918 sur les 9.000 hommes de la commune envoyés au front.
Chacune de ces silhouettes faisait 1m60 de hauteur et avait été fixée au sol la semaine dernière. Sur la poitrine de chaque silhouette figurait un nom et une adresse d’un jeune homme ayant perdu la vie au cours de cette guerre.
Hélas, c’était sans compter le manque de respect de la faune qui peuple aujourd’hui nos quartiers. En peu de temps, ces silhouettes honorant nos ancêtres qui ont tant souffert durant la Grande Guerre, ont été vandalisées. Et plusieurs d’entre elles ont fini au sol, couchées et piétinées par des badauds indifférents.
En désespoir de cause, la ville de Clichy a pris la décision de les regrouper au Pavillon Vendôme ainsi qu’à l’hôtel de Ville.
