SOS Chrétiens d’Orient nous fait connaître le sort des chrétiens d’Orient réfugiés à Erbil.
Traditionnellement, pour la fête de la Sainte Croix, les communautés chrétiennes d’Orient se réunissent et organisent nombre d’événements tout au long de la journée : messes, feux d’artifices, festins… Si à Qaraqosh ce jour revêtait une symbolique toute particulière pour les différentes communautés, du fait de la situation humanitaire et sécuritaire, les chrétiens désormais réfugiés à Erbil ne purent manifester leur joie et leur Foi dans les rues.
A noter que le peu d’enfants de déplacés acceptés dans les écoles d’Erbil connurent en ce jour pour la première fois de leur scolarité l’école le dimanche. Après avoir participé à la traditionnelle messe de la Sainte Croix, les volontaires de SOS Chrétiens d’Orient ont rencontré, lors de deux réunions, d’autres acteurs investis dans l’organisation de l’aide apportée aux réfugiés afin de planifier plus efficacement la réponse à apporter sur le moyen et long terme à une situation qui semble partir pour durer.
