La piscine municipale de Sundbyberg, dans la banlieue de Stockholm, innove au niveau des vestiaires. Trois salles de vestiaires sont prévues. Une pour les hommes. Une autre pour les femmes, mais qui pourra être utilisée par les hommes « qui se sentent femme ». Une troisième salle est prévue pour les handicapés, pour les religieux et pour… les transgenres.
«Les gens ne se sentent pas toujours à l’aise dans les piscines et les centres sportifs. Nous espérons que cela donnera aux gens plus de choix», explique un porte-parole de la mairie.
Une configuration qui vaut à la piscine de recevoir un label de la fédération LGBT nationale, la RFSL, qui a même participé à « former le personnel ».
La Suède est à l’avant-garde de la théorie du genre. Des gymnases des écoles secondaires proposent de plus en plus fréquemment un troisième vestiaire pour les étudiants qui ne souhaitent pas utiliser les zones réservées à un des deux sexes.
