Divers documents et objets collectés dans les communes déléguées et auprès de particuliers seront présentés :

les régiments en guerre (objets d’infanterie, d’artillerie et du quotidien au front), les uniformes et les récompenses, l’édition (journaux, chansons, revues, cartes postales, philatélie), la correspondance avec les familles, « pendant ce temps-là dans les Mauges » (présentation du rôle des femmes pendant la guerre et de scènes de vie quotidienne), l’après-guerre (« Gueules cassées », traités, reconstruction du pays, démobilisation et retour des soldats).

Des photos en 3D, des films et des mannequins habillés, prêtés par les Archives et le musée d’Art et d’Histoire de Cholet et le Musée des coiffes et des traditions des Ponts-de-Cé, compléteront cette exposition.
