Au Brésil, cette photo fait le buzz sur les réseaux sociaux. On y voit un vieux moine capucin bénir un policier de Fortaleza.
La photo est prise à l’Institut Dr. José Frota, hôpital de référence dans la capitale de l’Etat où le policier Jailton Viana était en service.
Lorsque le policier aperçoit ce vieux moine, il lui demande de prier non seulement pour lui mais pour les autres policiers de l’Etat.
Sur sa page Facebook, le policier écrit : « Dans les couloirs de l’IJF, où j’étais en service, j’ai eu l’honneur de rencontrer un moine, le Frère Roberto, 96 ans. Je lui ai demandé de prier non seulement pour moi mais pour tous les gars de la police de l’Etat de Ceara », avant d’ajouter le hashtag #DeusNosProteja.
Rapidement, la photo atteint un record de partage sur les réseaux sociaux, capables en cet instant de faire la part belle à la Foi.
Le Frère Roberto, 96 ans et 72 ans de sacerdoce, est né le 10 septembre 1920, à Maracanaú et a reçu de ses parents le nom de Juari Magalhães de Sousa. Il est entré dans la vie religieuse en 1934, à l’âge de 14 ans. En 1942, il a prononcé ses vœux solennels. Comme capucin, il prend le nom de Frère Roberto Maria de Maracanaú.
