Ce n’est que ce jeudi qu’une tentative d’attentat contre une église de Toulouse a été dévoilée. Les faits datent du 8 décembre, fête de l’Immaculée Conception. Dans la matinée , une bombe incendiaire artisanale a été retrouvée contre la porte de l’église Saint-André, dans le quartier de la Roseraie, à Toulouse.
L’enquête a été confiée à la SRPJ de Toulouse qui indique que « le dispositif rudimentaire était bien destiné à mettre le feu ».
La bombe artisanale contenait deux bouteilles d’allume-feu pour barbecue, reliées par un dispositif à des bougies. Miraculeusement, les bougies s’étaient consumées sans enflammer les bouteilles de liquide incendiaire.
Mercredi, sans faire allusion à cette affaire, le préfet Pascal Mailhos a indiqué qu’il avait demandé à toutes les autorités religieuses d’être vigilantes à l’approche des fêtes, y compris en n’hésitant pas à fouiller les sacs des fidèles à l’entrée des lieux de culte.
