C’est l’armée nigérienne qui l’a révélé à la presse par le biais d’un communiqué lu sur les antennes de la radio nationale.
Parmi ces 6 civils tués, 2 l’ont été par balles et 4 autres ont été brulés vifs. Ceci s’est passé dans la nuit de jeudi à vendredi à Bosso dans la région de Diffa proche de la frontière avec le Nigeria. La même source ajoute que les assaillants ont de plus blessé 7 personnes toutes des civiles et brulés plusieurs maisons d’habitations. L’armée nigérienne a réagit en procédant par des opérations de ratissage dans le secteur afin de rattraper et neutraliser ces terroristes.
Cette attaque intervient le jour même de l’adoption par le Parlement nigérien d’une loi prorogeant de trois mois l’état d’urgence instaurée depuis plus d’un an dans la région de Diffa face à la situation sécuritaire jugée préoccupante dans cette zone du fait des exactions de la secte islamiste. Notons que depuis 2015, le Niger fait l’objet des attaques répétées de cette secte.
