L’acte odieux se passe a l’extrême nord du Cameroun ce mercredi 2 septembre 2015, il a été commandé par la secte Boko haram dans un double attentat suicide. Comme quoi tuer est devenu un acte facile pour cette catégorie de personnes. En effet, l’AFP rapporte que la première explosion s’est produite vers 11H00 locales (10H00 GMT) dans le marché de la ville, selon ces sources qui ont requis l’anonymat. Peu après, une « deuxième explosion a eu lieu à 200 mètres du camp militaire », a précisé un policier, toujours sous couvert de l’anonymat. « Au moins trente personnes ont été tuées », selon ces sources.
Cinq attentats-suicide, attribués aux islamistes nigérians du groupe Boko Haram ont frappé la même région au cours du mois de juillet, faisant une cinquantaine de morts.
Le Cameroun est engagé dans une coalition régionale de lutte contre Boko Haram aux côtés du Nigeria, du Tchad, du Niger et du Bénin.
L’Extrême-Nord, frontalier du Nigeria et du Tchad, est depuis deux ans la cible régulière de raids meurtriers, d’enlèvements et désormais d’attentats-suicide, jusque-là inédits dans ce pays, menés par Boko Haram.
