Au moins 10 personnes ont été tuées et 39 blessées dans quatre attentats-suicides perpétrés jeudi soir à Maiduguri, dans le nord-est du Nigeria, a annoncé l’armée vendredi, par l’organisation islamiste Boko Haram.
« Jusqu’à présent nous avons eu confirmation de 14 morts, en comptant les kamikazes, et de 39 blessés », a indiqué le quartier-général de la Défense à Abuja.
Le groupe islamiste Boko Haram a multiplié les attentats-suicides visant des civils ces derniers mois, notamment à Maiduguri, capitale de l’État de Borno, où une série d’attaques avait fait 117 morts le 20 septembre.
Des habitants et un agent de police avaient témoigné jeudi soir qu’il y avait eu sept explosions dans le quartier d’Ajilari, situé près de l’aéroport et d’une base militaire, et qu’au moins deux des kamikazes étaient des adolescentes.
« Nous n’avons pas encore toutes les informations, mais nous pouvons dire que quatre terroristes kamikazes de Boko Haram ont déclenché leurs vestes garnies d’explosifs simultanément », a déclaré l’armée. Trois des terroristes dans la même zone et le quatrième devant une mosquée.
Le quartier d’Ajilari avait déjà été frappé le 20 septembre.
