Le 14 décembre, la revue économique Forbes s’est intéressée aux revenus des stars du sport. Sur les vingt sportifs les plus payés de l’histoire, le podium est occupé par deux noirs aux deux premières places et un blanc à la troisième place. Au total, il y a 9 blancs qui représentent 44,06 % des gains ; 7 noirs qui représentent 42,07 % des gains (les deux sportifs noirs les plus payés au monde représentent à eux deux 20,61 % !) ; 2 hispaniques pour un total de 6,31 % ; 1 juif à 4,61 % et 1 asiatique à 2,94 %. La somme gagnée par les 20 sportifs les plus payés de l’histoire est de 17,35 milliards de $, c’est-à-dire le PIB annuel de l’Union Européenne…

Sur le plan des sports, on compte 5 golfeurs (1 noir, le mieux payé, et 4 blancs) ; 4 basketteurs (tous noirs), 4 boxeurs (2 noirs, 1 hispanique, 1 asiatique), 3 footballeurs (1 juif et 2 blancs), 1 pilote de Formule 1 (blanc), 1 pilote de NASCAR (blanc), 1 tennisman (blanc) et 1 joueur de baseball (hispanique). Notons qu’il y a 4 golfeurs dans les 6 sportifs les plus pays de l’histoire.

Sur le plan des nationalités, 1 Allemand, 1 Britannique, 1 Portugais, 1 Australien, 1 Suisse, 1 Argentin, 1 Dominicain, 1 Philippin et… 12 Américains !

Certains argueront que ce classement ne veut rien dire et que certes, 35 % de ces 20 sportifs gagnent 42 % des gains et qu’ils sont noirs mais cela ne compte pas car 27 % des noirs sont pauvres. Certes. Et le fait que les hommes blancs semblent être majoritaire à la tête des grandes entreprises ne veut rien dire car 90 % des sans-abris morts dans la rue sont des hommes blancs…ce qui démontre que vouloir victimiser les uns par rapport aux autres sur des problématiques de race n’a aucun sens.
