Brigitte Kuster, député-maire du XVIIe arrondissement de Paris (Les Républicains), a déposé une proposition de loi visant à interdire de diffuser l’identité et la photo du visage des terroristes.
Le député Brigitte Kuster propose, en compagnie d’une quinzaine de députés, une loi d’anonymisation qui interdirait de «diffuser, de quelque manière que ce soit, le nom de famille et l’image des personnes physiques poursuivies pour un acte de terrorisme ou ayant été jugées coupables d’un acte de terrorisme».
Pour justifier ce projet de loi, Brigitte Kustner pose une question : «N’existe-t-il pas un risque d’octroyer à l’assassin une gloire posthume auprès de personnes radicalisées et en quête de modèles ?».
Comme toujours l’explication prend l’apparence d’un bien. Mais attention à ne pas s’y arrêter : il importe de réfléchir à deux fois sur les conséquences d’une telle proposition.
Première réflexion : l’image d’un terroriste bénéficierait d’une protection supérieure à celle de ses victimes.
Deuxième réflexion : si le terroriste n’a plus ni nom ni image, bien des médias seront tentés de cacher aussi les origines du terroriste. Et, finalement, il sera d’autant plus facile de faire croire aux Français que le terroriste en question est un simple déséquilibré gaulois.
