La fédération du PS Huy-Waremme n’a pas hésité à organiser « un banquet de la dignité » pour répondre de manière soi-disant humoristique à la journée de jeûne et de prière organisée par Monseigneur Léonard ce 6 février pour s’opposer à la loi sur l’extension de l’euthanasie qui sera votée cette semaine. Au-delà d’un anti-catholicisme affiché, le PS n’hésite pas à festoyer pour ce qu’il considère comme une avancée sociétale et il y a de quoi rendre mal à l’aise. Pourquoi fêter comme si le PS avait gagné une bataille de la plus haute importance ? Le parti ne fait que prouver une fois de plus l’idéologie d’une telle loi qu’il n’arrive même pas à encadrer dans sa forme initiale. Il serait intéressant de savoir qui a financé une telle opération. D’ailleurs, certains élus PS ont dit leur malaise et leur désaccord face à une opération trop provocatrice. C’est vrai que pour un parti qui se veut social, festoyer pour une loi qui va permettre de donner la mort à des enfants tandis que d’autres meurent de faim dans le monde, ce n’est pas la meilleure image à donner !
