Comme chaque année, la compagnie de transport en commun de Bruxelles : la STIB, a reçu une dizaine de plaintes d’usagers choqués. Certains chauffeurs de bus s’arrêtent de travailler pour faire leur prière rituelle en dehors ou parfois même dans le bus. Cela arrive surtout pendant le Ramadan. Françoise Ledune explique bien qu’ : « il s’agit de quelque chose de l’ordre de la sphère privée. En aucun cas, un agent est autorisé à prier à bord de son bus ou sur son temps de travail ». Les chauffeurs concernés font l’objet de sanction qui peut aller jusqu’à plusieurs jours de mise à pied.
