Voici encore une mauvaise histoire belge. Le procès dit des «terroristes de la place Saint-Jean », qui se tenait à Anvers est à recommencer en raison d’une traduction manquante.
Neuf suspects, qui avaient été condamnés à des années en prison pour le recrutement de terroristes sont depuis hier matin des citoyens libres.
La Cour d’appel d’Anvers avait condamné au début de cette année douze suspects de terrorisme, des hommes d’origine marocaine et tchétchène, à des peines de prison allant de cinq à huit ans. Hassan Hamdaoui avait été condamné à 12 ans de prison parce qu’il avait été jugé coupable de préparer une attaque contre le siège de l’OTAN à Bruxelles.
Ces différentes personnes avaient offert leur soutien – en 2009 et 2010 – au mouvement islamiste Emirat du Caucase. Les djihadistes de l’Emirat du Caucase sont connus pour leurs actions terroristes menées contre des dirigeants russes.
Mais un tribunal a annulé, hier matin, les lourdes peines pour un morceau de texte anglais des arguments du ministère public qui n’a pas été traduit. Une erreur de procédure relevée par les avocats du gang terroriste.
